Product Description

The $2.50 Liberty Head gold coins are some of the most recognizable gold pieces in the world. Commonly referred to as the “quarter eagle”, these coins were circulated reguarly until 1907 and considered a workhorse coin of trade. Modeled after the Coronet-type Large Cent (1816-1857), the “quarter eagle” design continued unchanged for 33 years, longer than any other design in the history of American gold coinage.
